belt-driven tail Bell-Hiller rotor head tail boom servo
The Axe 400’s stable, easy-to-adjust, belt-driven tail is topped off with white fins and white rotor blades that improve visibility. The precise cyclic response of the Axe 400’s Bell-Hiller rotor head contributes to smooth, accurate 3D aerobatic performance — as does the efficient direct link system of the 120° eCCPM swash plate. In models with frame-mounted gyro servos, routine tail drive belt adjustment also requires changing the tail linkage. The Axe 400 simplifies the job by mounting the servo on the tail boom — no linkage adjustments needed!

Battery Pack resilient frame design Axe 400 RTF Electronics
Your battery pack straps into place on an easy-access tray, located for a neutral center of gravity that enhances 3D performance. Battery shown not included. Requires: 11.1V 2000-2500 mAh LiPo battery. The resilient frame design — consisting of two injection-molded plastic pieces joined by screws — keeps on-board components easily accessible while providing the structural integrity needed for accurate maneuvers. The quality of included electronics — and of the Axe 400 helicopter itself — makes this the perfect machine for any pilot eager to dazzle spectators with stunning 3D performance.

Battery Pack Futaba 6EX Radio HM4000 Heading Lock Gyro
The Axe 400 includes the largest power plant of any ready-to-fly heli in its class — a 425-size out-runner brushless motor with built-in cooling fan. Use the 2.4GHz Futaba 6EX radio to fly other aircraft equipped with a FASST receiver — and extend the advantages you enjoy from this system throughout your entire fleet. The standard-size footprint of the HM4000 Heading Lock Gyro provides mounting stability, avoiding the “twitchy” performance of sub-micro gyros that mount on edge. Dual remote and mechanical gain adjustments increase its flexibility.
